From exciting projects to a culture that embraces creativity, choosing McAdams means choosing a workplace where you’re not just an employee—you’re a vital piece of our success story.  We invest in leaders who want to build:  <ul> <li>Opportunities to shape strategy and grow a practice </li> <li>Exposure to high-impact projects across multiple market sectors </li> <li>A united, team-first culture </li> <li>A platform for long-term career growth and leadership development </li> </ul> See what our teammates have to say about their experience at McAdams: <a href="https://youtu.be/XnX3G3m75uU?si=sPyVjCetpQi0poYd">https://youtu.be/XnX3G3m75uU?si=sPyVjCetpQi0poYd</a>  What You’ll Do  <ul> <li>Lead the growth of the Water Resources practice in Central Florida by leveraging market insight, client relationships, and pursuit strategies to secure new work and expand McAdams’ market presence </li> <li>Drive business development activities including client positioning, proposal development, interviews, and contract negotiations, with accountability for pursuit strategy and outcomes </li> <li>Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their business initiatives and challenges to identify new opportunities, expand existing relationships, and cross-sell firm services </li> <li>Develop and negotiate scopes, fees, schedules, and contracts that appropriately define project requirements while ensuring profitability, risk management, and delivery viability </li> <li>Provide leadership and accountability for project execution, ensuring successful delivery that meets or exceeds client, stakeholder, and regulatory and permitting requirements in alignment with McAdams’ standards </li> <li>Oversee project financial performance and resource planning, managing budgets, staffing, schedules, and wokload to achieve project and business objectives </li> <li>Lead technical direction and quality control for water resources projects, including review of analyses, designs, reports, and deliverables to ensure technical excellence </li> <li>Mentor, develop, and inspire team members, fostering an entrepreneurial, collaborative, and high-performing culture aligned with firm growth goals </li> </ul> What You’ll Bring  <ul> <li data-leveltext="І" data-font="Rubik Light" data-listid="15" data-list-defn-props="{"134224900":true,"335551500":14090294,"335552541":1,"335559685":432,"335559991":252,"469769226":"Rubik Light","469769242":[8226],"469777803":"left","469777804":"І","469777815":"multilevel"}" data-aria-posinset="13" data-aria-level="1">Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related engineering discipline </li> <li>Professional Engineer (PE) license </li> <li>10+ years of progressive experience in Water Resources and municipal consulting, preferably within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry </li> <li>Proven ability to lead small to large, complex projects through planning, design, and deliver—independently and within multidisciplinary team environments </li> <li>Strong understanding of project financial performance, including budgets, profitability, revenue forecasting, and schedule impacts </li> <li>Experience managing teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions while meeting client expectations and business objectives </li> <li>Demonstrated success in developing, managing, and expanding key client relationships within the public sector </li> <li>Experience supporting or leading pursuit strategies, proposal development, and client interviews to win new work </li> <li>Established relationships with municipalities, public agencies, and/or regulatory entities in Florida, with the ability to leverage those relationships to grow market presence </li> <li>Strong interest in and commitment to advancing and growing the Water Resources practice in Florida </li> <li>Excellent technical writing, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills </li> <li>Self-drive, well-organized and team-oriented leader who mentors others and fosters collaboration across disciplines </li> </ul> Work Environment + Physical Demands  The characteristics described below are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position.
