Astranis designs, builds, and operates its satellites out of its 153,000 sq. ft. headquarters in Northern California, USA.</p></div><div class="section page-centered"> <div class="section page-centered"> <h4><strong>Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer - Enterprise Systems</strong></h4> <p>We are seeking a highly capable Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to build the software systems that enable automated testing, manufacturing, and real-time control of our flight hardware and spacecraft. You will work across disciplines—hardware, embedded, operations, production, and software—to design full-stack applications that automate and validate critical flight components and support test, integration, and ground control.</p> <p>This is a high-impact, multidisciplinary role. You’ll own the development of internal tools used to test, operate, and monitor spacecraft—ranging from low-level hardware interfaces to web-based control panels for telemetry and command operations.</p> <h4>Role</h4> <ul> <li>Design and implement software systems that support automated testing of hardware components and spacecraft systems.</li> <li>Own UI and backend development for internal tools used in test infrastructure, manufacturing and spacecraft operations.</li> <li>Develop component- and system-level automated production infrastructure using Python and full-stack tools.</li> <li>Work closely with satellite operators and manufacturing technicians to build UI workflows that streamline mission operations, command execution, and telemetry visualization.</li> <li>Drive cross-functional collaboration on software architecture, technical design, and hardware/software test strategy.</li> <li>Contribute to recruiting and interviewing efforts as we scale the team.</li> </ul> <h4>Requirements</h4> <ul> <li>5+ years of professional experience as a full-stack software engineer (excluding internships).</li> <li>Strong Proficiency with React JavaScript/TypeScript and Python</li> <li>Experience with FastAPI or similar frameworks</li> <li>Experience working with relational/SQL databases (e.g. Postgres)</li> <li>Experience building and maintaining REST APIs and backend services.</li> <li>Comfortable working in Linux, using shell tools, and managing source control with Git.</li> <li>Experience with SQL/relational databases (e.g., Postgres).</li> <li>Comfortable rapidly prototyping and fully developing user interface concepts with focus on overall user experience</li> <li>Comfortable diving into all layers to implement both front-end and back-end components of new features</li> <li>Experience deploying backend services to cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCP) and on-prem</li> </ul> <h4>Bonus</h4> <ul> <li>Experience developing tools for hardware or embedded systems.</li> <li>Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized deployments.</li> <li>Familiarity with design systems and rapid UI prototyping for internal tooling.</li> <li>Background in satellite operations, aerospace, or real-time telemetry systems.</li> <li>Experience with test instrumentation, schematics, and debugging interfaces between software and hardware.</li> <li>Strong understanding of automated test strategies and validation workflows for embedded or hardware-integrated systems.</li> <li>Experience building and deploying sw for a manufacturing environment.</li> <li>Experience reading datasheets, debugging analog/digital interfaces, and working with tools like oscilloscopes or logic analyzers.</li> </ul> <h4>&nbsp;</h4> </div> </div><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><div><strong>What we offer:&nbsp;</strong></div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>All our positions offer a compensation package that includes equity and robust benefits.</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div> <p data-path-to-node="3">Base pay is just one component of Astranis’s total rewards package. Your compensation also includes a significant equity package via incentive stock options, high-quality company-subsidized healthcare, disability and life insurance, 401(k) retirement planning, flexible PTO, and free on-site catered meals.</p> </div> <div>Astranis pay ranges are informed and defined through professional-grade salary surveys and compensation data sources.
