Senior Storage Engineer at Ensono

<p>JOB ROLE SUMMARY<br>Storage Engineers ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of Storage Area Networks, NAS (Network Attached Storage) Arrays and Out Of Band managed Storage Arrays as well as any array or appliance based replication. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing the storage arrays and array based replication as well as the Storage Area Networks that they are attached to.<br><br>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<br>Consistently provides proven, formal mentorship<br>High complexity assignments - owner<br>Moderate complexity assignments - owner (1 or &gt;)<br>Low complexity assignments - provide oversight/review<br>Regularly lead self and others and/or established as Product SME and/or established as specialist<br>Understands how whole picture aligns to overall Ensono strategy<br>Resolve issues, manage workload and balance priorities through frequent interruptions while meeting specific, time-sensitive deadlines<br>Mentors others with less experience<br>Defines standards and best practices for managing supported managed SAN Fabric and Storage Arrays<br>Plans/Coordinates DR test for supported managed SAN Fabric and Storage Arrays<br>Plans/Coordinates upgrades for supported managed SAN Fabric and Storage Arrays<br>Identifies/schedules available training for appropriate managed SAN Fabric and Storage Arrays<br>Participates in establishments of managed SAN Fabric and Storage Array product guidelines, policies &amp; audit procedures<br>Execute the roll out of complex upgrades<br>Understand external events that may impact applications or systems (networking, operations, etc.)<br>Define the process for regular occurring supported SAN Fabric and Storage Array infrastructure upgrades<br><br>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES<br>This position does not have direct reports but may mentor less experienced associates in the role.<br><br>RECRUITING INFORMATION<br>Specific hiring needs may vary by location, industry, client, internal department and other business related factors.
