This position reports directly to the <strong>Manager, Revenue Accounting</strong> and will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support our fast-paced, dynamic environment.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <p><strong>Accounting Operations &amp; Reporting</strong></p> <ul> <li>Prepare and record journal entries for <strong>deferred revenue, accounts receivable adjustments, and contractual incentives</strong>.</li> <li>Perform monthly and quarterly account reconciliations and <strong>flux analysis</strong> for revenue-related accounts.</li> <li>Assist in preparing <strong>SEC reporting schedules</strong> and revenue disclosures for quarterly and annual filings.</li> <li>Provide support for quarterly and annual audits, including relevant documentation and reconciliations.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal accounting policies, and <strong>SOX</strong> control requirements.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Systems, Tools &amp; Process Improvement</strong></p> <ul> <li>Partner with Finance Systems to enhance ERP and revenue automation tools.</li> <li>Identify process improvement opportunities to increase accuracy and efficiency in the order-to-cash cycle.</li> <li>Participate in cross-functional projects to streamline revenue recognition, billing, and reporting workflows.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Business Partnership</strong></p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with Sales Ops, Legal, FP&amp;A, and Customer Success teams to assist in resolving revenue issues and ensuring contract terms align with accounting standards.</li> <li>Provide deal structure guidance to optimize compliance and business outcomes.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Additional Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead or participate in <strong>ad hoc projects and other duties, as assigned</strong>, to support evolving business priorities.</li> <li>Assist the <strong>General Ledger (GL) team</strong> in other accounting areas as needed (e.g., fixed assets, accruals, intercompany) to meet company close deadlines.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.</li> <li><strong>3+ years</strong> of relevant accounting experience, preferably in revenue accounting or public accounting for technology clients.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of <strong>GAAP</strong>.</li> <li>Advanced proficiency in <strong>Microsoft Excel</strong> (pivot tables, complex formulas, data modeling).</li> <li>Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Active CPA license</strong>.</li> <li>Experience in a <strong>SOX-compliant</strong>, publicly traded company.</li> <li>Experience with <strong>ASC 606</strong> revenue recognition standards.</li> <li>Prior work in <strong>SaaS</strong> or technology industries.</li> <li>Experience with ERP and revenue automation tools (Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Workday, etc.).</li> <li>Familiarity with <strong>SEC reporting</strong> and revenue note preparation.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Core Competencies</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Analytical Thinking</strong> – Ability to interpret complex contracts and data to make sound accounting determinations.</li> <li><strong>Attention to Detail</strong> – Precision and accuracy in reconciliations and reporting.</li> <li><strong>Business Acumen</strong> – Understanding of SaaS metrics and revenue growth drivers.</li> <li><strong>Collaboration</strong> – Works effectively across teams and communicates complex concepts in a clear manner.</li> <li><strong>Adaptability</strong> – Thrives in fast-changing, high-growth environments.</li> <li><strong>Ownership Mentality</strong> – Proactively takes responsibility for deliverables and drives process improvements.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why Join Us</strong><br>This is a unique opportunity to join a high-performance finance team in a <strong>fast-growing, publicly traded SaaS &amp; IoT leader</strong>.
