As a Lead Technician, you will be the 1st line of defense for technical troubleshooting on the production floor. You will guide a small team of technicians to build high-quality, mission-critical components that power cutting-edge aerospace and defense systems.    You will organize, support, and drive the team to meet the highest industry standards for safety, quality, and efficiency. This role is ideal for a hands-on, organized leader with a passion for building electrical hardware and continuously improving floor operations.   What you'll own: <ul> <li>Autonomously build electrical harness assemblies for aerospace and defense customers  </li> <li>Responsible for keeping the floor on track – provide technical and operational direction to team members to ensure quality standards and schedule are met.</li> <li>This may include:   <ul> <li>Demonstrating proper techniques to new apprentice technicians  </li> <li>Inspecting hardware in-process to ensure conformance to specifications  </li> <li>Implementing daily task checklists to maintain the workcenter  </li> <li>Assign and prioritize daily work per production schedule.</li> <li>Communicate work plan & work completed to team & operations stakeholders to minimize interruptions and ensure continuity.  </li> </ul> </li> <li>Work cross-functionally to ensure adequate support for nominal production operations   </li> <li>Foster a culture of collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality, and Logistics to enhance manufacturability, streamline processes, and ensure seamless output to customers.   </li> </ul> What you'll bring to the team: <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent certification and 3+ years as a technician in a fast-paced production environment.    </li> <li>Proficient in reading complex wire harness schematics and determining proper order of operations & relevant techniques.  </li> <li>Knowledge of soldering, wire stripping, contact crimping, contact insertion and removal, harness routing and strain relief techniques is required.  </li> <li>Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.  </li> <li>Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, work order management, and BOM structures.  </li> <li>Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage cross-functional teams and present key performance data to leadership.  </li> <li>Passion for innovation and continuous improvement, with a hands-on approach to solving complex manufacturing challenges.  </li> <li>Adaptable, detail-oriented, and proactive with a strong sense of ownership.  </li> <li>Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed  </li> <li>Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted   </li> <li>Must be able to stand for extended periods - 8 hours minimum   </li> </ul> Bonus Points:  <ul> <li>2+ years of leadership experience, preferably within a manufacturing production environment.   </li> <li>1+ year of scheduling and task allocation experience.  </li> <li>Familiarity with IPC-620 or NASA STD 8739.4.  </li> <li>Has worked at a contract manufacturing company  </li> </ul> Compensation:   <ul> <li>Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.  </li> <li>Hourly Range: $30.00- $50.00 </li> <li>This is an onsite role at our facility in Cypress, CA.    </li> </ul> Benefits:   <ul> <li>Unmatched opportunities to drive impact on a friendly and mission-driven team  </li> <li>Own a piece of the pie with equity participation!   </li> <li>Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life and long-term disability coverage  </li> <li>Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Dependent Spending Account (DSA) for health-related expenses  </li> <li>20 vacation days per year and 12 company holidays for rest and relaxation</li> <li>a 401(k) plan to set yourself up for retirement</li> <li>Choose a record you love, and we’ll add it to our growing vinyl collection!  </li> <li>$50/month DoorDash credit – lunch is on us!   </li> <li>Up to $100/month reimbursement for gym memberships   </li> <li>Fully stocked kitchen with snacks and beverages  </li> <li>Regular team-building events, lunches, and the occasional breakfast burrito!   </li> <li>Bright, open office with communal spaces for collaboration and free parking  </li> <li>Conveniently located near the metro, major freeways and local dining spots  </li> </ul> We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
