<div>The Controller leads all accounting and financial reporting functions for a complex family office structure, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and financial stewardship across multiple entities. <div><strong>Responsibilities</strong></div>
<ul>
<li>Lead accounting operations across trusts, partnerships, LLCs, and nonprofit entities</li>
<li>Prepare quarterly consolidated and entity‑level financial statements, including eliminations</li>
<li>Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial and investment activity</li>
<li>Manage capital calls, distributions, and investment tracking</li>
<li>Oversee accounting systems, reporting processes, and operational infrastructure</li>
<li>Maintain and refine cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and liquidity oversight</li>
<li>Coordinate preparation and review of federal and state tax filings, extensions, estimates, and K‑1 workflows</li>
<li>Prepare and issue annual 1099s and maintain compliance policies and internal controls</li>
<li>Enhance risk‑mitigation practices and strengthen approval workflows</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned by leadership</li>

<div><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></div>
<ul>
<li>10+ years of progressive accounting experience</li>
<li>Experience managing consolidated financial statements across multiple entities</li>
<li>Ability to build complex financial or operational models</li>
<li>Understanding of investment, partnership, and equity‑method accounting</li>
<li>CPA preferred</li>
<li>Experience with tax filings, family office or private investment work, system conversions, or nonprofit/foundation structures</li>
</ul>

<div><strong>Physical Demands</strong></div>
<ul>
<li>Ability to perform repetitive motions and use fine motor skills (typing, writing, operating office equipment)</li>
<li>Ability to lift and carry approximately 20–25 lbs unassisted</li>

<div>Ability to sit for long periods with occasional reaching and standing</div>
