We are looking for software engineers excited by the opportunity to improve health care in far-reaching ways.  In this position, you will design and build the core search and query engine behind Truveta's data platform. You will work on how queries are planned, scheduled, and executed at scale, with a focus on keeping them fast, reliable, and efficient on very large datasets. You will diagnose performance and reliability problems in production and fix them with well-tested, low-risk changes. You will work with internal users and partner teams to understand their use cases and requirements, and turn them into scalable, maintainable solutions. We are seeking software engineers who: <ul data-spread="false"> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Have proven experience building reliable, secure, and scalable software solutions using modern cloud-based paradigms</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Are quick learners who can iterate on and evolve distributed software solutions while carefully balancing privacy, security, and reliability requirements with a changing product landscape</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Have knowledge of and experience designing and working with distributed systems, data pipelines, and APIs</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Can guide workstreams, mentor and inspire junior developers, and cultivate a positive work environment</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Adhere to Truveta principles in support of ethical innovation</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Are committed to ongoing training on key topics such as privacy, ethics, and security</li> </ul> Key Qualifications:  <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">5+ years of experience building production quality software in a team setting; experience working as part of distributed teams is a plus </li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Experience building cloud services or data programming languages like Java, Python, or C# </li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Experience building and supporting cross-platform across multiple-tenants. </li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">2+ years of experience working on modern cloud-native platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure); InfOps or DevOps experience a plus </li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field </li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Prior work with Kubernetes is a plus. </li> </ul> Why Truveta? The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target. Pay is based on several factors including location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
