They will support the development of safety policies, deliver EHS trainings, investigate incidents, and ensure proper recordkeeping. This role is onsite at assigned client facilities</span><span data-contrast="auto"> and is based in the San Francisco Bay Area. </span><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559738":240,"335559739":240,"335559740":279}"> </span></span></p> <p style="line-height: 1;"><span style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Responsibilities:</span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559738":240,"335559739":240,"335559740":279}"> </span></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Communicate with client personnel regarding workplace safety issues, recommending corrective actions.</span></li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Advise clients on occupational health and safety standards, including OSHA, fire code, and other regulatory standards.</span></li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Assist in the development of specific areas of occupational health and safety systems, including drafting or updating policies, procedures, and manuals.</span></li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Participate in the inspection of machinery and equipment, such as lifting devices, machine guards, or scaffolding, and other engineered safety systems. </span></li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Measure occupational and environmental hazards, such as noise and ergonomics, using calibrated scientific equipment and/or collecting samples of dust, vapors, or gases according to a defined operating procedure.</span></li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Conduct workplace safety inspections according to a defined procedure, evaluating the use of personal protective equipment, such as respirators, respirators, protective eyewear, or hardhats, according to applicable regulations. These inspections of the workplace will involve talking with workers and observing their work.</span></li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Identify potential accident and health hazards, such as toxic vapors, mold, mildew, and explosive gas-air mixtures and help implement appropriate control measures, such as adjustments to ventilation systems.</span></li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Help investigate accidents and injuries, identifying causes and recommending remedial action.</span></li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Conduct routine EHS safety trainings such as new employee orientation, hazard communication, powered industrial trucks (forklift training).</span></li> <li style="font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Write reports, including accident reports, and enter information on required Occupational Safety and Health Administration recordkeeping forms.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Basic requirements:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">3+ years' experience in an EHS capacity.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety, or a related scientific field.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><span data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">Must be familiar with and have successfully managed EHS requirements of Northern California CUPA such as San Mateo County, Santa Clara County, and Alameda County.</span></span></li> <li style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;
