In addition, build and re-build equipment for various manufacturing needs.  What You'll Do: Responsible for inspection, installation and repair of machines used for production and within the tool room and maintenance machining areas. In addition, build and re-build equipment for various manufacturing needs.  When and Where: This will be a Y Shift / 5 AM - 5 PM F-Sun position located at our Plant in Pontiac, MI.  Occasionally, this may require you to arrive early, stay late, or work on weekends, outside of our regular hours, to ensure we successfully meet customer needs, deadlines, or urgent requests.  What You Need to Have: <ul> <li>High School diploma or GED required </li> <li>Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at a level sufficient to safely and effectively perform job duties, including following work instructions, safety procedures, and company communications.</li> <li>Minimum 5 years of Machine Repair experience required </li> <li>Minimum of 10 years of Machine Repair experience preferred </li> <li>Robotics training preferred </li> <li>Press specific training preferred </li> <li>Journeyman card or Machine Repair Journeyman Apprenticeship Completion or equal education/contact hours preferred </li> <li>Strong communication skills </li> <li>Strong time management skills </li> <li>Able to prioritize tasks </li> <li>Valid forklift license issued by Challenge Manufacturing </li> <li>Valid Scissor Lift license issued by Challenge Manufacturing </li> <li>Has high standards of performance for self.  Takes responsibility for actions, results, and mistakes.  Is thorough, accurate, and reliable when performing and completing job tasks; demonstrates honesty and integrity in all aspects of work. </li> <li>Takes positive action to objectively resolve conflict by listening, staying focused on issue to find resolution, and monitoring progress.  Maintains positive relationships by constructively resolving conflicts. </li> <li>Uses feedback from others to continuously improve performance and work relationships. </li> <li>Moves within own and/or other work areas (flexes) to support plant flow.  Works with sense of urgency to meet needs of customers. </li> <li>Has necessary experience, skills, and knowledge to perform all aspects of job; rotates through all job responsibilities.  Maintains knowledge and skills to perform job effectively. </li> <li>Has ability to focus on benefits of change and see it as positive; approaches change or newness in constructive/objective manner; views change as learning opportunity. </li> <li>Looks for good in others; works collaboratively with others; shares information and knowledge. </li> <li>Updates and relays pertinent information to oncoming shift </li> <li>Is at work when scheduled and ensures coverage when absent; takes timely breaks/lunches; uses time wisely. </li> <li>Must be able to understand and follow written and verbal workplace instructions </li> <li>Must be able to work up to 12 hours per day including Saturday and Sunday  </li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion">What We Offer: We’re excited to offer a range of awesome benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a Health Savings Account with annual employer contributions, Flexible Spending Accounts, company-paid Short-Term Disability and Basic Life Insurance, Voluntary Life and Long-Term Disability options, an Employer 401k Match, ESOP shares, tuition reimbursement, a Referral Bonus Program, Challenge Incentive Program, and paid time off.
