If you want to work with the most talented people on Earth furthering space exploration for humanity, come join us.</p></div><p>Vast is looking for an <strong>EMI-EMC Test Specialist</strong>, reporting to the<strong> Senior Manager, EMI-EMC, </strong>to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations.&nbsp;</p> <p>This will be a <strong>full-time</strong>,&nbsp;<strong>non-exempt</strong> position located in our&nbsp;<strong>Long Beach</strong>&nbsp;location.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Help build and maintain our EMI-EMC test capabilities from the ground up.</li> <li>Support hiring for EMI-EMC technician and engineering roles.</li> <li>Implement tailored industry standards for Vast spacecraft and avionics.</li> <li>Work directly with cross functional teams to guide best practices for EMI-EMC design &amp; test.</li> <li>Develop EMI-EMC test procedures.</li> <li>Support EMI-EMC test of Vast spacecraft and components.</li> <li>Contribute to a culture of extreme ownership by understanding and articulating to others how EMC relates to all subsystems and disciplines in human rated spacecraft.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>7+ years of experience in an EMI-EMC related role.</li> <li>7+ years of experience in MIL-STD-461 / DO-160 test.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Skills &amp; Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with software development for EMI-EMC test automation.</li> <li>Experience with space charging for spacecraft, triboelectrification, grounding &amp; bonding.</li> <li>Characterization of shielding effectiveness for harnessing and spacecraft structures.</li> <li>Electronics prototyping skills such as soldering, breadboarding, troubleshooting with common lab equipment</li> <li>Experience with digital communications buses such as Ethernet, RS-422, PCIe, GMII, etc.</li> <li>Background in electromagnetics, triboelectrification, and plasma effects in spacecraft systems.</li> <li>Strong sense of accountability and integrity with excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to effectively communicate with cross disciplinary teams.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Additional Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Willingness to work overtime, or weekends to support critical mission milestones.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Pay Range:</strong></p> <p>EMI-EMC Specialist I: $40-$57/hour</p> <p>EMI-EMC Specialist II: $44-$63/hour</p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="title">Pay Range: California</div><div class="pay-range"><span>$40</span><span class="divider">&mdash;</span><span>$63 USD</span></div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion"><div style="line-height: 1;"><strong>COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS</strong></div> <div style="line-height: 1;">&nbsp;</div> <div style="line-height: 1;"> <div> <div data-qa="message_pane"> <div> <div id="message-list"> <div id="message-list"> <div data-qa="slack_kit_scrollbar"> <div> <div data-qa="slack_kit_list"> <div id="message-list_1770163429.476589" data-qa="virtual-list-item" data-item-key="1770163429.476589"> <div data-qa="message_container" data-qa-unprocessed="false" data-qa-placeholder="false" data-msg-ts="1770163429.476589" data-msg-channel-id="D1T52LDR4"> <div data-qa-hover="true"> <div> <div> <div> <div data-qa="message_content"> <div> <div data-qa="message-text"> <div data-qa="block-kit-renderer"> <div> <div> <div>Base salary will vary depending on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, business needs, and market demand.
