<p><span data-contrast="auto">As a Senior Mechanical Engineer focused on elevating our work within the Justice + Civic sector, you will have the opportunity to work on highly complex projects while collaborating with the sector team to achieve our business plan goals. You will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams to produce high-quality construction documents and manage project schedules to meet deliverable requirements. You will collaborate closely with all disciplines to produce highly integrated building designs.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">You will collaborate with the sector leadership team to develop and execute strategies for business development, growing our integrated practice. You will play a key role in client relationship development and management. You will also guide the engineering team to ensure deliverables are of a consistent quality and within budget.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></p>

<p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">The successful candidate will</span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></p>
<ul>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Lead multiple projects and staff over multiple regions to assure local teams of engineers know the specific design criteria of justice projects and train engineering teams in the project type</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Assure quality of design produced by teams through multiple touch points</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Manage engineering project execution, ensuring alignment with budget, schedule, and scope while maintaining client expectations</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Track project milestones and deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards and preparing regular status reports</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Facilitate and document meetings with staff and clients, coordinating project personnel, vendors, and consultants</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Actively engage in business development initiatives by contributing to RFP responses, participating in client interviews and fostering client relationships</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Lead the design on projects of significance</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Collaborate early and often with architects, other engineers, and clients as part of our integrated design process</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Carry out technical review of interdisciplinary teams prior to issuance</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Represent DLR Group at meetings with owners, clients, and suppliers</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
</ul>
<p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Required Qualifications</span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></p>
<ul>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">15+ years of experience working as an engineer, including design of building systems related to Justice + Civic sector. </span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">A strong understanding of Mechanical engineering knowledge: </span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Smoke control systems design and coordination with smoke modeling consultants</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Specific mechanical and plumbing systems used in justice facilities</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Security requirements of justice facilities and how mechanical and plumbing systems tie into security systems</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Familiarity with facility operations and maintenance of building systems</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Working knowledge of the design and construction process and the ability to understand and communicate with professionals of other disciplines</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Strong critical thinking, time management, and communication skills, both verbal and written</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Understanding of business management and customer service principles</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Knowledge of local building and energy codes</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Demonstrated record of consistent quality work</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Ability to lead others and foster teamwork</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Knowledge and support of DLR Group’s climate action strategy and commitments, including AIA2030, MEP2040 and SE2050</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
