<p><strong>POSITION SUMMARY</strong></p>
<p>The Automotive Installation Technician is responsible for executing the installation of client systems on commercial fleet vehicles in accordance with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and safety requirements.</p>
<p>This role requires hands-on mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to perform installations efficiently within a structured, high-volume deployment environment. Technicians are expected to follow defined processes, ensure installation quality, and support overall site productivity. This position reports to the Site Leader.</p>
<p><strong>KEY RESPONSABILITIES</strong></p>
<p><strong><u>Installation Execution</u></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Perform installations on fleet vehicles following approved SOPs and work instructions</li>
<li>Execute all installation steps accurately, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards</li>
<li>Maintain consistent cycle times aligned with production targets</li>
<li>Use tools and equipment properly and safely during all installation activities</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><u>Quality Assurance</u></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Ensure all installations meet defined quality standards and acceptance criteria</li>
<li>Perform self-checks and support quality inspections as required</li>
<li>Identify and report defects, inconsistencies, or installation issues</li>
<li>Support rework activities when necessary</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><u>Safety Compliance</u></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Follow all safety procedures, including Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and site safety guidelines</li>
<li>Properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times</li>
<li>Maintain a clean and organized work area</li>
<li>Report on safety risks, incidents, or near misses immediately</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><u>Material Handling & Inventory Support</u></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Retrieve and handle materials from on-site storage (e.g., PODs)</li>
<li>Verify parts and kits prior to installation</li>
<li>Ensure proper handling of components to avoid damage or loss</li>
<li>Support basic inventory tracking and material organization</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><u>Vehicle Readiness & Inspection Support</u></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Support basic vehicle readiness checks prior to installation (e.g., visual inspection)</li>
<li>Flag issues or non-ready vehicles to the Site Leader</li>
<li>Follow defined processes for deferring vehicles not meeting installation criteria</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><u>Reporting & Documentation</u></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Record installation activities and required data using PAC digital tools (PATHFINDER)</li>
<li>Capture required evidence (e.g., photos, VIN tracking) for traceability and quality audits</li>
<li>Ensure accurate and complete documentation for each installation<strong><u> </u></strong></li>
</ul>
<p><strong><u>Team Collaboration</u></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Work collaboratively with team members to maintain workflow and meet daily targets</li>
<li>Support onboarding and knowledge sharing with other technicians</li>
<li>Follow direction from Site Leader and contribute to a positive team environment</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><u>Continuous Improvement</u></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Provide feedback on installation process improvements</li>
<li>Support implementation of updated SOPs and best practices</li>
<li>Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce rework</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>1–3 years of experience in automotive, mechanical, or installation-related roles</li>
<li>Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools</li>
<li>Ability to follow detailed instructions and SOPs</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and quality focus</li>
<li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment</li>
<li>Valid driver’s license</li>
<li>Ability to work <strong>NIGHT SHIFT</strong></li>
</ul>
<p><strong>PREFERRED EXPERIENCE</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience in vehicle upfitting, retrofits, or fleet installation programs</li>
<li>Familiarity with structured production or assembly environments</li>
<li>Experience using digital tools for reporting or work tracking</li>
<li>Basic electrical/mechanical troubleshooting experience</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>PROJECT REQUIREMENTS</strong></p>
<p>All personnel assigned to this project must comply with the following requirements:</p>
<ul>
<li><u>English Communication:</u> All employees must be able to communicate effectively in English during operations.</li>
<li><u>Work Authorization:</u> All employees must have valid legal authorization to work in the US.</li>
<li><u>Safety Compliance:</u> All employees must always follow safety regulations and immediately report any potential risks or unsafe conditions during operations.</li>
<li><u>Work Standards:</u> Personnel must follow the established working procedures, including punctuality, adherence to process instructions, and meeting expected performance levels.</li>
