<p><strong>Role Overview</strong></p>
<p>The <strong>EMS Deployment Engineer</strong> is responsible for deploying, configuring, and supporting Ignition-based Energy Management Systems (EMS) for utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. This role plays a critical part in commissioning, ensuring reliable system visibility, control, data flow, and integration between EMS, PLCs, PCS, BMS, and site networks.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Deploy, configure, and support <strong>Ignition-based EMS/SCADA platforms</strong> for BESS projects</li>
<li>Support commissioning activities including EMS bring-up, system integration testing, SAT, and early operational support</li>
<li>Configure Ignition gateways, tags, UDTs, alarms, historian, and visualization components</li>
<li>Integrate EMS with Siemens PLCs, PCS, BMS, meters, protection relays, and site networks</li>
<li>Support data acquisition, control workflows, and site-level dashboards for commissioning and operations</li>
<li>Troubleshoot EMS, data, and communications issues under commissioning timelines</li>
<li>Collaborate closely with Controls Engineers, Network Engineers, Deployment Engineers, and Field Commissioning teams</li>
<li>Support FATs, site commissioning, and handover to Service and Operations teams</li>
<li>Assist in developing standardized EMS templates, screen sets, tag models, and deployment procedures</li>
<li>Review and validate EMS documentation, configurations, and as-built deliverables</li>
<li>Travel to project sites during deployment and commissioning phases as required</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Hands-on experience deploying and supporting Ignition</strong> (Inductive Automation) in OT or industrial environments</li>
<li>Experience configuring tags, UDTs, alarms, historians, and visualization in Ignition</li>
<li>Experience integrating EMS/SCADA platforms with PLCs and field devices</li>
<li>Strong understanding of OT systems and industrial communications</li>
<li>Ability to troubleshoot across EMS, controls, and networking boundaries</li>
<li>Comfortable working in fast-paced commissioning environments with evolving requirements</li>
<li>Willingness to travel to project sites as required</li>
<li><strong>Direct, hands-on Ignition deployment experience is required.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Ability to travel to project sites 30-40% as needed.</strong></li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Preferred Experience</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience with utility-scale BESS, renewables, power generation, or substation environments</li>
<li>Familiarity with Siemens PLCs and Modbus TCP / IEC 61850 (high-level understanding)</li>
<li>Experience supporting commissioning teams on live sites</li>
<li>Knowledge of OT cybersecurity fundamentals</li>
<li>Experience working with EPCs, OEMs, and customer stakeholders</li>
</ul>

<li>Ignition-based EMS systems are deployed reliably across new BESS projects</li>
<li>Commissioning timelines are supported through stable EMS visibility and control</li>
<li>EMS-related issues are identified and resolved quickly during site bring-up</li>
<li>EMS configurations become more standardized and repeatable across projects</li>
<li>Field, commissioning, and service teams trust this role as the EMS authority</li>
