Embedded within the Platform Security team, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy, partnering closely with Infosec and Infrastructure teams to secure our cloud infrastructure. Your architectural decisions will directly impact the security of a global platform.</p> <h3><strong>You Will:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Create Paved Roads: Build innovative services and tooling that make the secure path the easiest path, enabling developers to deploy faster and safer.</li> <li>Engineer Self-Healing Infrastructure: Architect and scale systems that monitor our cloud posture and automatically enforce a self-healing security baseline.</li> <li>Design Secure-by-Default Blueprints: Partner deeply with infrastructure teams to bake threat modeling and secure-by-default patterns into the core DNA of our cloud environments.</li> <li>Implement Effective Guardrails: Deploy organizational security controls that protect our developers without slowing them down.</li> <li>Advance Detections: Write and optimize detections tailored specifically to our footprint.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>You Have:</strong></h3> <ul> <li><strong>4+ years: </strong>of relevant professional experience.</li> <li><strong>Experience writing and maintaining: </strong>code in at least one programming language such as Python, Golang or C#, and you are eager to learn new languages and technologies.&nbsp;</li> <li><strong>Experience with: </strong>automation, IaC, system hardening, container security concepts, cloud security policy and observability.</li> <li><strong>Deep understanding: </strong>of cloud service architecture and cloud security concepts.</li> <li><strong>Familiarity with:</strong> with container orchestration systems, such as Kubernetes.</li> <li><strong>Understanding of:</strong> network security concepts and best practices, ex: enabling secure connectivity between resources, implementing egress controls.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>You Are:</strong></h3> <ul> <li><strong>Collaborative:</strong> You love working with your direct team and cross-functional partners.</li> <li><strong>Thoughtful of build vs. buy decisions: </strong>You can build solutions, but you also review what tools are available.</li> <li><strong>Comfortable with ambiguity:&nbsp;</strong>You can gather data and make informed decisions when there is no clear answer.</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand.
