Junior Paralegal at Fora Financial LLC

<p><strong>Junior Paralegal</strong></p> <p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p> <p>This position reports to the Legal Operations Manager and is part of the Legal and Compliance Department where initiative, enthusiasm, and collaboration are critical.&nbsp; Our primary focus is on helping protect the company against undue risk exposure. The Junior Paralegal will handle a variety of litigation and collections matters and support the department’s overall legal and compliance objectives.</p> <p><strong>A Day in the Life of a Junior Paralegal</strong></p> <ul> <li>Supporting collection attorneys in resolving disputed accounts, including facilitating communications and document support</li> <li>Tracking escalated collection accounts and litigation dockets</li> <li>Preparing and filing pleadings, motions, and other court documents</li> <li>Coordinate with internal and outside counsel litigation teams on case files, docketing, court filings, and discovery requests</li> <li>Assisting with discovery requests, subpoenas, and other legal inquiries</li> <li>Providing administrative support to the Legal department</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;What You Have</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience, preferably at a significant law firm, within an in-house legal department, and/or as collections paralegal in the financial services industry (commercial lending or alternative finance experience, a plus).</li> <li>Strong Organization skills</li> <li>Experience in managing numerous accounts and/or litigations</li> <li>Superior written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>Skill in handling evolving priorities in a dynamic environment in a thoughtful and practical manner.</li> <li>Ability to relate well to co-workers and build effective business partnerships.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;<strong>The Benefits of Working for Fora Financial:</strong></p> <ul> <li>A good work/life balance</li> <li>Medical, Dental, Vision Coverage</li> <li>401K Match</li> <li>Life Insurance at No Cost to Employees</li> <li>Generous Time Off Plan Including Rollover Vacation Days</li> <li>Commuter Benefits</li> <li>Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending</li> </ul>
