<p data-start="200" data-end="583"><strong data-start="200" data-end="221">POSITION SUMMARY:</strong></p> <p data-start="200" data-end="583">Reporting to the R&amp;D Laboratory Manager, the Laboratory Instruments and Facilities Engineer will oversee daily operations and maintenance of the laboratory within a life sciences environment. This individual will ensure all facility systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with FDA, GMP, and OSHA standards, supporting a high-complexity, regulated laboratory environment.</p> <p data-start="585" data-end="806">This role will serve as the primary lead for critical infrastructure, including cleanrooms and specialized laboratory utilities, ensuring operational continuity and readiness to support scientific and clinical activities.</p> <p data-start="808" data-end="848"><strong data-start="808" data-end="848">PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:</strong></p> <p data-start="850" data-end="1018"><strong data-start="850" data-end="878">· Facilities Operations:</strong><br>Oversee daily operations of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems (BAS) to ensure uninterrupted facility performance.</p> <p data-start="1020" data-end="1183"><strong data-start="1020" data-end="1048">· Regulatory Compliance:</strong><br>Ensure facilities meet cGMP, ISO, and safety requirements, supporting audits and maintaining documentation for regulatory inspections.</p> <p data-start="1185" data-end="1355"><strong data-start="1185" data-end="1217">· Laboratory Infrastructure:</strong><br>Manage critical utilities including DI/RO water systems, lab vacuum systems, process chilled water, CO2 gas, and liquid nitrogen storage.</p> <p data-start="1357" data-end="1550"><strong data-start="1357" data-end="1398">· Maintenance &amp; Equipment Management:</strong><br>Coordinate preventive maintenance, calibration, and repair of facility systems and laboratory equipment using CMMS (e.g., LIMBLE) to minimize downtime.</p> <p data-start="1552" data-end="1702"><strong data-start="1552" data-end="1594">· Environmental Health &amp; Safety (EHS):</strong><br>Oversee protocols for safe storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous chemicals and biological materials.</p> <p data-start="1704" data-end="1857"><strong data-start="1704" data-end="1729">· Project Management:</strong><br>Lead facility upgrades, laboratory expansions, and capital improvement projects in support of operational and scientific needs.</p> <p data-start="1859" data-end="1889"><strong data-start="1859" data-end="1889">QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:</strong></p> <p data-start="1891" data-end="2134"><strong data-start="1891" data-end="1917">Education &amp; Experience</strong><br>· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field<br data-start="1993" data-end="1996">· 5–8+ years of experience managing laboratory or regulated facilities, preferably within biotech, pharma, or life sciences environments</p> <p data-start="2136" data-end="2545"><strong data-start="2136" data-end="2165">Required Technical Skills</strong><br>· Experience supporting laboratory and/or GMP-regulated environments<br data-start="2234" data-end="2237">· Strong understanding of building systems including HVAC, BAS, electrical, and plumbing<br data-start="2325" data-end="2328">· Experience with CMMS/ERP systems for maintenance tracking and asset management<br data-start="2408" data-end="2411">· Knowledge of regulatory requirements (FDA, GMP, OSHA)<br data-start="2466" data-end="2469">· Ability to manage multiple priorities and support cross-functional teams</p> <p data-start="2547" data-end="2941"><strong data-start="2547" data-end="2575">Preferred Qualifications</strong><br>· Experience supporting cleanroom environments in regulated laboratory or manufacturing settings<br data-start="2672" data-end="2675">· Professional certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facilities Management Professional (FMP) preferred<br data-start="2799" data-end="2802">· Experience managing lab-specific infrastructure and utilities, including DI/RO water systems, vacuum systems, and process chilled water</p> <p data-start="2943" data-end="2956"><strong data-start="2943" data-end="2956">About Us:</strong></p> <p data-start="2958" data-end="3268">Celcuity is a clinical-stage, publicly traded biotechnology company seeking to extend the lives of cancer patients through the development of targeted therapies for the treatment of multiple solid tumor indications. Gedatolisib phase 3 clinical development programs are focused on the treatment of patients with HR+/HER2- ABC in the 1L and 2L settings. For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $90,000-$125,000 DOE. The exact base pay offered for this role will depend on various factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s geography, qualifications, skills, and experience.</p>
