<h2><strong>Position Overview</strong></h2>
<p>As a <strong>Project Manager – Transmission & Distribution</strong>, you will lead the execution of <strong>complex utility infrastructure projects</strong>, managing everything from project pursuit through final closeout.</p>
<p>You may lead a <strong>major segment of large‑scale transmission projects</strong> or oversee multiple distribution and substation projects ranging from <strong>$500K to $10M+</strong>, with full accountability for:</p>
<ul>

<li>Budget / cost control</li>
<li>Safety and compliance</li>
<li>Quality and performance</li>
<li>Client satisfaction</li>
</ul>

<h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2>
<ul>
<li>Lead projects through <strong>estimating, bidding, execution, and closeout phases</strong></li>
<li>Manage <strong>transmission, distribution, and substation construction activities</strong></li>
<li>Ensure projects are delivered <strong>safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards</strong></li>
<li>Oversee <strong>subcontractors, suppliers, field leadership, and internal project teams</strong></li>
<li>Develop and maintain strong <strong>client and utility relationships</strong></li>
<li>Track and manage <strong>project costs, forecasts, schedules, and performance metrics</strong></li>
<li>Support project planning for:
<ul>
<li>Transmission line construction (structures, conductor, ROW)</li>
<li>Distribution system upgrades (OH/UG)</li>
<li>Substation scopes as applicable</li>
</ul>

<li>Promote and model <strong>Michels’ safety‑first culture</strong> across all operations</li>
<li>Drive continuous improvement through <strong>lessons learned and operational feedback</strong></li>

<h2><strong>What It Takes</strong></h2>
<ul>
<li><strong>2–7+ years of experience</strong> in construction project management within <strong>transmission, distribution, utility, or electrical infrastructure projects</strong> (or equivalent combination of education and experience)</li>
<li>Proven experience managing <strong>project scope, cost, schedule, and field execution</strong></li>
<li>Strong knowledge of <strong>T&D construction methods, sequencing, and project delivery</strong></li>
<li>Proficiency with <strong>Microsoft Office Suite</strong></li>
<li>Experience with <strong>project management / scheduling software</strong> (Primavera P6, HCSS, MS Project, or similar)</li>
<li>Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills</li>
<li>Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record</li>
<li>Willingness to travel and support <strong>long‑term, onsite project assignments</strong></li>
</ul>

<li>Experience with <strong>utility clients, co‑ops, or EPC transmission projects</strong></li>
<li>Background in <strong>overhead transmission (HOLT), underground distribution, or substation integration</strong></li>

<li>Familiarity with <strong>ERCOT, MISO, or other regional transmission environments</strong></li>
