Our Principal Controls Engineers ensure that solutions are innovative, reliable, and aligned with customer requirements, while mentoring engineers and project managers and supporting business development efforts.  Remote position but must be located within 2 hour commute to Plano, TX You will:  <ul> <li>Participate in technical design and architecture of advanced automation, control, and system integration solutions. </li> <li class="x_xmsonormal">Serve as subject matter expert (SME) across multiple platforms (Building Design, Panel Design, Instrumentation, PLC, HMI, SCADA, MES, Historians, Networks, and VFDs). </li> <li class="x_xmsonormal">Provide hands-on engineering support for system design, programming, testing, and commissioning of automation projects. </li> <li class="x_xmsonormal">Collaborate with project managers and engineering managers to define project scope, technical requirements, and resource needs. </li> <li class="x_xmsonormal">Mentor and guide engineers and technical staff, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development. </li> <li class="x_xmsonormal">Conduct design reviews, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and ensure compliance with engineering standards and industry regulations. </li> <li class="x_xmsonormal">Support proposal development with technical input, risk assessments, and cost estimates. </li> <li class="x_xmsonormal">Act as a technical liaison with customers, presenting solutions, clarifying requirements, and ensuring satisfaction. </li> <li class="x_xmsonormal">Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to enhance integration capabilities and business competitiveness. </li> <li class="x_xmsonormal">Contribute to the development and enforcement of engineering best practices and standards across the organization. </li> <li class="x_xmsonormal">Be an ambassador who embodies our <a class="Hyperlink SCXW157532008 BCX0" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNgpHEJiRb0" target="_blank">Core Values</a>, prioritizing the success of E Tech Group, our clients, and the professional development of our associates. </li> </ul>      You have:  <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. </li> <li>8+ years of progressive engineering experience in automation, controls, or system integration. </li> <li>Deep technical expertise in one or more major automation platforms (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, Wonderware, Ignition, etc.). </li> <li>Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols, networking, and system architecture. </li> <li>Demonstrated experience in delivering complex, multi-discipline integration projects. </li> <li>Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. </li> <li>Strong communication skills with ability to interact with customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams. </li> <li>Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed for design, testing, and commissioning - 30-40 percent domestic. </li> <li>A DNA comprised of collaboration and teamwork. </li> </ul>   Benefits & Perks:  <ul> <li>401k + match + prompt enrollment.  E Tech Group employees are 100% vested upon entry. </li> <li>Prompt enrollment into Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits. </li> <li>Generous paid time off that includes paid vacation, paid holidays, paid family leave and sick time off. </li> <li>Learning and growth are key parts of the E Tech culture.
