You’ll grow your skills, feel valued, and work in a fast-paced environment where people genuinely enjoy coming to work (and stay long-term!).</p> <p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p> <p>The Financial Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the hospital’s financial accuracy, medical records management, and overall client experience. This position requires strong attention to detail, proficiency with billing and record-keeping workflows, and the ability to communicate professionally with clients regarding estimates, balances, insurance claims, payment inquiries, and medical record requests.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul data-spread="false"> <li>Audit and reconcile patient records and invoices for accuracy; verify and correct charges on open and inpatient accounts.</li> <li>Maintain daily inpatient billing, prepare discharge invoices, and provide clients with billing updates.</li> <li>Educate staff on charge entry and payment protocols.</li> <li>Process and finalize employee and municipal invoices, including applicable discounts and payment follow-up.</li> <li>Communicate with clients regarding balances, estimates, deposits, and payment policies; assist with financial concerns.</li> <li>Manage accounts receivable, including payment plans, collections, overdue account follow-up, and referrals to collection agencies or attorneys.</li> <li>Serve as liaison with credit providers, collection agencies, donation/rescue organizations, and municipalities.</li> <li>Coordinate cremation services with Abbey Glen, including logistics and invoice auditing.</li> <li>Maintain accurate fee schedules, ensuring product codes align with Veritas standards; identify and adjust discrepancies with management.</li> <li>Process insurance claims and follow up as needed.</li> <li>Manage pet remains awaiting cremation, including client communication, payment collection, and abandonment procedures.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul data-spread="false"> <li>Veterinary hospital experience required</li> <li>Specialty and/or emergency veterinary experience strongly preferred</li> <li>Previous experience in billing, accounts receivable, insurance processing, client service, or medical records preferred</li> <li>Strong customer service and communication skills</li> <li>Highly detail-oriented with strong accuracy in billing, records, numbers, and data entry</li> <li>Microsoft Excel experience required</li> <li>Experience with veterinary practice management software, including ImproMed, preferred</li> <li>Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment</li> <li>Reliable, professional, and team-oriented</li> </ul> <p><strong>Schedule: S</strong>unday - Thursday, 9am - 5:30pm (One weekend day and 2–3 major holidays per year required)</p> <p><strong>Compensation: </strong>$23/hr - $28/hr, based on experience, skills, and qualifications.</p> <p><strong>Perks &amp; Benefits</strong></p> <ul> <li>Competitive pay</li> <li>Health, dental &amp; vision (some plans 100% paid!)</li> <li>401(k) with match</li> <li>Paid time off + parental leave</li> <li>Mental health support (Talkspace)</li> <li>Uniforms &amp; pet care discounts</li> <li>Referral bonuses &amp; more!</li> </ul> <p><strong>1200 Route 9, Woodbridge, NJ 07095</strong></p> <p>Sound like your kind of place?
